Hike to the top of "El Taga" 2040m

We will climb the Taga from Ribes de Freser passing through the Coll de Jou. From the top of the Taga, we will enjoy a splendid viewpoint of the summits of the Pyrenees from Puigmal to Canigó. It is a continuous ascent through bucolic grasslands.

Difficulty: moderate 17km hike with positive level difference of 1129m. The level difference is quite big but it's relatively easy to climb because it's progressive.

How do we get there?  By train or by shared private cars from Barcelona. During the booking process you’ll be invited to tell us if you have a car and how many people can come with you in the car. In anycase we can also take the train from SANT ANDREU ARENAL station in Barcelona. The R3 ( direction Puigcerda) departs at 08:04 from there, but we will meet at 07:40. If you want to catch the train at another station or meet with us directly at the "Ribes de Freser" station, just let us know. We will arrive at the "Ribes de Freser" station at 10:13. For the way back the plan is to take the train back at 16:52 or 17:56 depending on our pace.

If going by private cars, every passenger will pay 15 euros to the driver for gas and tolls.

Bring hiking shoes, raincoat (just in case), sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), water (1.5l), picnic, snacks, walking sticks (optional but recommended).

Plan B: in case of bad weather conditions in this area that would not allow us to do this hike, we would go for another hike of the same difficulty level in a different region.

Cancellation policy: if cancellation till 72h before the beginning of the activity, 50% will be charged. If late cancellation (less than 72h before), full payment will be requested.

Vamos a subir al Taga desde Ribes de Freser pasando por el Coll de Jou. Desde la cima del Taga, difruitaremos de un mirador espléndido de las cimas de los Pirineos desde el Puigmal al Canigó. Es una montaña ocupada por prados de pastura. Es una ascension continua pero muy agradable.

Nivel de dificultad: moderada. Caminata de 17 km con 1129m de desnivel positivo. El Taga tiene un gran desnivel (1129m), pero es relativamente fácil de subir. 

¿Cómo llegaremos ahí? Compartiendo coches particulares desde Barcelona o en tren. En el proceso de reserva, te preguntaremos si tienes un coche y cuántas personas pueden ir contigo. Tomaremos el tren desde la estación de SANT ANDREU ARENAL, en Barcelona. El tren R3 (direccion Puigcerda) sale a las 08h04 desde allí, pero nos encontraremos a las 07h40. Si quieres coger el tren en otra estación o reunirte con nosotros directamente en la estación de "Ribes de Freser", háznoslo saber. Llegaremos a la estación del "Ribes de Freser" a las 10:13. A la vuelta el plan consiste en coger el tren de vuelta de las 16:52 o el de las 17h56 dependiendo de nuestro ritmo.

En el caso de ir en coche, cada pasajero le pagará al conductor €15 para cubrir gastos de peajes y gasolina.

Qué llevar  Zapatos para caminar, protección solar (gafas, sobrero, crema solar), chaqueta impermeable, agua (1,5L), picnic, bastones para caminar (opcionales pero recomendados).

Plan B  En caso de malas condiciones de tiempo por esta zona que nos impidiera hacer la salida, haremos otra salida de dificultad parecida.

Cancelaciones: si cancelas hasta 72 h antes de la actividad, 50% son debidos. En caso de cancelación de última hora (menos de 72 h), el importe total será requerido.
