Montserrat Monastery Hike

Let's hike up to the Montserrat monastery at a human pace. We'll start from the "Aeri de Montserrat" train station, go up walking up to the famous monastery of Montserrat and will go down through a different route till the Monistrol de Montserrat train station. On our way, we'll discover the amazing landscapes of this magic mountain, pass by the hermitage of Santa Cecília de Montserrat and the Monastery of Sant Benet. We'll also do a 1h tour of to see the surroundings of the the Montserrat Monastery.

Difficulty level:  medium or high 

High (13km - 1240m of positive level difference). We'll climb a lot in a short distance. We'll go up-up-up and then down-down-down :) 

Medium: in order to make it easier, there's an option to avoid the hard part of the track which is the way up to the Monastery by taking the Cable Car. 

During the booking process you'll be able to choose whether you want to go up walking or with the cable car. 

How do we get there? We'll take the train leaving Plaza España at 08:36 and we'll arrive at the station "Aeri de Montserrat" at 09:37. On the way back the plan is to take the train back from Monistrol de Montserrat about 18:01 or 18:41 depending on our pace and if we want to have a a well deserved beer before returning to BCN. 

Bring hiking shoes, hat, water (1.5l), picnic, snacks, sunscreen, walking sticks (optional but highly recommended).

Total price of activity €20 

Advance payment: €10 (the remaining €10 are to be paid in cash on the day)

Includes: official mountain guide, insurance in case of accident+CL.

Do not include transportation (€10 FGC train ticket + 7,5 if you go up with the cable car)

Cancellation policy: if cancellation till 72h before the beginning of the activity, 50% will be charged. If late cancellation (less than 72h before), full payment will be requested.

Caminemos hasta el Monasterio de Montserrat a paso humano. Saldrémos desde la estación de tren "Aeri de Montserrat", subiremos caminando hasta el famoso monasterio de Montserrat y bajaremos por una ruta diferente hasta la estación de tren de Monistrol de Montserrat. En el camino, descubriremos los increíbles paisajes de esta montaña mágica, pasaremos por la ermita de Santa Cecília de Montserrat y el Monasterio de Sant Benet.  Aprovecharemos para dar una vuelta de 1hora para ver el recinto del Monasterio de Montserrat.

Nivel de dificultad: medio o alto 

Alto: (13km - 1240m de desnivel positivo), es decir mucho desnivel en poca distancia. Vamos a subir-subir-subir y bajar-bajar-bajar :)

Medio: para hacerlo más fácil y evitar la parte difícil del recorrido (el camino que sube hasta el Monasterio) puedes optar por coger el teleférico.

Durante el proceso de pago, podrás decidir si quieres subir caminando o con el teleférico (Aeri de Montserrat).

¿Cómo llegaremos ahí? Cogemos el tren que sale de Plaza España a las 08:36 y llegaremos a la estación de "Aeri de Montserrat" a las 09:37. A la vuelta el plan consiste en coger el tren de vuelta de Monistrol de Montserrat sobre las 18:01 o el de las 18:41 dependiendo de nuestro ritmo y de si hay ganas de tomarse una cervecita antes de volver a BCN.

Qué llevar:  Zapatos de senderismo, sombrero, agua (1,5L), picnic, crema solar, bastones para caminar (opcionales pero muy recomendados).

Precio total de la actividad: 20€ 

Paga y señal: 10€ (los 10€ pendientes se pagan en efectivo ahí).

Incluye: guía de montaña titulado, seguro en caso de accidente+RC. 

No incluye transporte (ticket FGC - 10€ + 7,50 si subes en teleférico). 

Cancelaciones: si cancelas hasta 72 h antes de la actividad, 50% son debidos. En caso de cancelación de última hora (menos de 72 h), el importe total será requerido.
